Co-Founders and Artistic Directors Gisela Quinteros and Edgar Peterson met in 2002 and have cultivated an eternal friendship bound by their passion for life and dance. For over a decade they’ve nourished their art form and had numerous performances together. It was during this time that their various life encounters and individual experiences would provide the inspiration for their latest project: ENCOUNTERS
The company has a wide range of versatile artists and works with a diversity of styles that shape our repertoire choreographed by Gisela Quinteros and Edgar Peterson.
We thank our artists, dancers, apprentices, choreographers, collaborators, composers, musicians, photographers and filmmakers who continuously help us share with the audience and the community all the beauty this company can offer.*About the Performance: As part of our ALTERNATE STAGE SERIES we present short stories as films to stay connected with the audience and bring emotions through movement on the screen as an alternate platform.
*About the choreography: “BEHIND”This piece it’s based on the things and thoughts that we hold from the past and as we go on as emotional beings through life they can either holds us back or helps us. The struggle contrasts the comfort and is portrayed in this film as well as the acceptance and detachment.Choreographed by our invited French Artist Gaétan Jamard following the concept and direction of Gisela Quinteros, filmed by Spanish Artist Anika Asín Ainoza. The music feels like a relationship conversation and was composed by NYC Artist Mr. Allan Greene.
